Jackson Fluffy-Breeches, a small mischievous rabbit, becomes eager to explore everything he encounters in the surrounding warren territory, but it borders onto a steep cliff and a dark, eerie thicket with an abundance of predators constantly on the prowl. His father disappeared during a terrible storm, but desperate to display his foraging skills, and help his mother, he often sneaks away from his burrow without permission. Enlisting his friend, Sisal Silver-Whiskers, using a string of tall tales to entice him into following his lead, the two rabbits set off on an ill-fated escapade to the cliff edge where a steep ravine sweeps down to a fast-flowing inlet stream – with disastrous consequences.
